Climate Change
The world climate continues to change as does our climate in Melbourne. Over the past decade we have seen our water supplies continue to get dangerously low. Without proactive action by the State and Federal Governments we would have probably run out of drinking water by now.
Unfortunately, this situation has led to a reduction in available water for irrigation of all types. At the time of writing, Melbourne and metropolitan area is under Stage 3A water restrictions, which severely limits how and when we can water our precious plants and gardens, not to mention the total ban on watering of lawns
Irrigation methods have changed
In light of the changes to our environment, Melbournians have had to change the ways in which they keep their gardens alive and looking beautiful.
The days of automatic sprinkler systems running off mains water at any time of day or night are gone (at least in the foreseeable future). Replacing that is Drip irrigation at set days and times of the week, rainwater harvesting solutions or a combination of both. |

Our Products have changed as well
To assist our customers to keep their gardens alive and looking beautiful we have had to dramatically change the range of products we sell in order for them to achieve that goal and still remain compliant with water restrictions.
Products such as drip line, water tanks and water pumps (to name a few) are in high demand whilst previously popular products such as pop up sprinklers are now only required as part of a water tank and pump solution because they cannot be run off mains water.
The products you will see in the “Product Guide” to the top right reflect the changes to our climate and the restricted conditions we are under.
Footnote: Whilst many photos on this website display sprinkler systems in action, it’s assuming they are being powered by a pump running off water tanks. It’s difficult to show exiting pictures of water excreting out of a dripper tube.
